Antalya Airport Transfer Guide: All You Need to Know

Published: 8 February 20268 min read

Public bus, taxi rank, shuttle, or private cab — what every option costs, takes, and what surprises you might face.

Antalya Airport (AYT) is Turkey's second-busiest airport — 35 million passengers a year. Knowing how to get from arrivals to your hotel saves time, money, and stress. Here's every option.

Option 1: Private transfer (recommended)

Price: €20–€50 depending on destination, fixed at booking.

Capacity: Mercedes Vito for up to 6 passengers + 6 large suitcases.

Time: Drops you at your hotel door — fastest option.

Best for: Families, groups, anyone arriving with luggage, late-night arrivals.

Booking: 2+ hours before pickup is enough; we recommend 24 hours for peak season.

Why it works: Driver waits at arrivals with your name on a sign. Free cancellation up to 24 hours. Pay cash on arrival.

Option 2: Airport taxi (taxi rank)

Price: €40–€100, metered. Drivers may offer "fixed price" — usually higher than meter.

Capacity: Standard taxi (4 passengers + limited luggage).

Time: Same as private transfer once you reach the taxi rank — but you queue.

Best for: Solo travellers, no luggage, daytime arrivals when no queues.

Watch out for: Some drivers refuse the meter and quote inflated fixed prices, especially at night. Always insist on the meter ("taksimetre").

Option 3: Havaş airport bus

Price: 75 TL one-way (about €2 in 2026).

Route: Airport → city centre (Kepez bus station, then connections). Does NOT go to Lara, Belek, Side.

Capacity: Standard bus.

Time: 45–60 minutes to city centre, then add transfer time to your hotel.

Best for: Solo budget travellers staying in central Antalya, no large luggage.

Watch out for: No service after 22:30. Cash payment in Turkish lira only.

Option 4: Public dolmus + bus

Price: 30 TL total.

Route: Airport → Lara (yes), Belek (no), city centre (yes via Havaş then dolmus).

Time: 90–120 minutes to most destinations.

Best for: Backpackers with no luggage and flexible time.

Watch out for: Confusing for first-time visitors, no English signage, schedules vary by season.

Option 5: Hotel shuttle

Price: Varies — €15–€60 per person depending on hotel.

Capacity: Coach with multiple stops.

Time: 1.5–3 hours due to multiple hotel drop-offs.

Best for: Cost-conscious all-inclusive guests at large hotels.

Watch out for: You may wait 30–60 minutes for the shuttle to fill up. Multiple stops mean you could arrive last.

What we recommend

  • Family or group: Private transfer. The fixed price beats taxi for almost any destination, and drop-off at your hotel removes all stress.
  • Solo traveller, daytime, no luggage: Havaş bus to central Antalya, then taxi to your final destination.
  • Late-night arrival: Always private transfer. Taxis at 02:00 charge whatever they want; buses don't run.
  • Going to Belek/Side/Kundu: Private transfer. The other options either don't go there directly or take 2x the time.

Tips for any option

  • Arrivals hall has free WiFi (1 hour). Connect before you leave the terminal.
  • ATMs are inside arrivals — withdraw Turkish lira if you need cash for tipping or food.
  • Currency exchange rates at the airport are 5–10% worse than in town.
  • The arrivals hall has multilingual signage and tourist info desks (08:00–22:00).
